Plump Hill
Coaches Nik Oakley and Rob England Coaching session Bar of soap (tench)

This is a small pond situated at the top of Plump Hill on the right hand side as you travel from Mitcheldean into the Forest. The far side of the pool is maintained as a nature reserve and the club has made this area out of bounds to Anglers.

Although relatively shallow, between 2 - 4 feet deep, it contains a large head of Carp, Skimmers, Roach, Rudd and Perch as well as the ever present Eel. This water is ideal for youngsters and is used for the clubs coaching sessions. These are funded by the Forest of Dean club who pay for the services of two Professional coaches to run and organise the event.
